ASUS Republic of Gamers Announces Availability of the New Strix OLED Gaming Monitor XG27UCDMG

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has officially announced the arrival of its latest OLED gaming monitor, the ROG Strix OLED XG27UCDMG. This new 27-inch model with 4K resolution is equipped with the latest 4th generation OLED technology (QD-OLED), a 240Hz refresh rate, and the innovative OLED Anti-Flicker 2.0 technology, promising an immersive, smooth, and flicker-free gaming experience.

Positioned below the premium ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM model, the XG27UCDMG is designed for a broader audience, ideal for both gaming and multimedia content consumption, as well as everyday use. With a density of 166 ppi (pixels per inch), it offers ultra-sharp images, perfectly readable text, and infinite contrast.

Advanced OLED Panel Protection

One of the new features is the ASUS OLED Care Pro system, which now includes the Neo Proximity Sensor – a proximity sensor capable of detecting the user's presence and automatically turning off the screen to prevent burn-in. The content reappears instantly when the user returns to the monitor. This feature will be further optimized through a firmware update available starting in April 2025, for both the XG27UCDMG and Swift PG27UCDM.

ASUS OLED Care Pro also integrates other features such as pixel cleaning, screen saver, taskbar detection, and easy access via ASUS DisplayWidget Center.

Flicker-Free Visual Experience

The ROG OLED Anti-Flicker 2.0 technology is designed to reduce flicker by up to 20% compared to the previous generation, using a luminance compensation algorithm that dynamically adjusts the brightness of pixels during refresh rate fluctuations. The result is a more stable and comfortable image, even during extended gaming sessions. The monitor also allows users to limit the refresh rate using the Refresh Rate Cap feature, with three available modes: High, Mid, and Off.

Connectivity and Gamer-Centric Design

Now available with a recommended retail price of $999 (MSRP), the ROG Strix OLED XG27UCDMG includes a full range of connectivity options, including DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC, HDMI 2.1, and USB-C with Power Delivery up to 90W. The modern, gamer-centric design features an ultra-thin, frameless panel, ROG Aura Sync lighting, customizable light projection, a tripod mount (¼-inch) ideal for streaming setups, and a base with integrated smartphone support.
