Secret of  Evermore  for SNES  is a role-playing game published by Square (now Square  Enix ) in 1995. The story begins in Großostheim in 1965. Then as now, there is a secret laboratory in a large garden. The laboratory was built by Professor Igor Strange. Prof. _ Igor Strange developed a machine that should make it possibleto open a gate into a self-created world ( Evermore ). But when the machine was supposed to be demonstrated, an accident happened, killing the professor and his three friends ( Zora  Zottelzopf , HectorLektor and Gunilla von Fettamsel) from Großostheim to  Evermore  . Until 1995 the laboratory remained undiscovered and neglected. The first to re-enter the lab in  Secret of  Evermore  for SNES  is a teenager looking for his dog. He discovers the machine by accident and is  teleported to Evermore  with his dog . As he searches for a way back to the real world, he realizes that in  Evermore an unknown person pulling the strings of sinister machinations. In the course of their journey, the boy and his dog pass through all eras, in each of them encountering a resident of Grossostheim and their malevolent doppelganger, and confronting powerful opponents.
